Our family isn’t new to Cow Appreciation Day at Chick-fil-a. I’ve been going every year for as long as they have had it, and the last three years, I’ve drug Hubs and Red with me. We even “dressed” him up when he went! This year will be no different, and on Tuesday July 10th, we will don our ears, tails, and spots; heading to Chick-fil-A for our free meal. That’s right… a free meal. Wear one dominant cow piece and you get a free entree. Make a whole outfit and you get a free meal. (This offer may vary at a restaurant near you, so be sure to check!) Chick-fil-a offers a great free printable cow costume for Cow Appreciation Day to get you started.
I literally have no excuses for our poor cow costumes of the past, other than I ran out of time. Being a costume designer is like being the children of the cobbler… we don’t get any shoes because I’m too busy making them for other people. While I am at least making our one day in advance for Cow Appreciation Day this year, it’s never too late to share a tutorial with you… or a roundup!! Other fabulous bloggers have their stuff together and put together some complex, easy, fast and detailed outfits that you can replicate! Unlike the printer paper and marker one I made for Red’s first outing…

Super cute. I’ve always printed the kits off and put the costumes together. You’d think I would save them!
